Consumer Q&A
From Advita Health to our consumers
Who is Advita Health?
We are a registered Canadian company located in Mississauga, Ontario. Following the principles of integrative medicine, our specialty lies in using the proven medical and pharmacological research to create health products that can help the healthy and affected individuals by enabling active prevention and improvement from disease symptoms.
Integrative medicine is defined as the practice of medicine that focuses on all parts of the individual, not simply a focus on treatment that is often overemphasized in conventional medicine. In our case, we design our products to have active effects in both the prevention and the improvement of disease symptoms.
Advita Health’s R&D team consists of Medical Doctors and Senior Research Fellows that do active research. Using the most recent, established, and safe scientific discoveries, Advita Health creates innovative natural health products that help prevent disease symptoms in the healthy, while actively achieving health benefits for the at-risk and affected population. The goal is to achieve perceivable benefits within 30 days.
What is CardioHealth?
CardioHealth is Advita Health’s flagship product that contains CoQ10 and omega-3 fatty acids with approval from Health Canada. Undergoing the strict examination by Health Canada, it has been approved to:
- Support the function of the heart and nourish the vascular system;
- Promote antioxidant effect, especially on the immune system and the neural system;
- Facilitate energy production at the cellular level.
How can one product do so many things?
Through our scientific expertise and understanding of scientific mechanism in pharmacology and medicine, Advita Health is able to design and prove that CardioHealth can achieve these functions using our proprietary formulation to the specialists at Health Canada.
Both omega-3 fish oil and CoQ10 are common and inexpensive on the market, so what makes CardioHealth so special?
The importance to any product is how well our body can absorb and utilize the most vital active agents within the product. Where both active agents are vital for a healthy body, there are different types that are much better absorbed and effective in the human body. While no regulations exist that encourage companies to disclose the type of their active agents beyond their common name, we are proud to announce that we use high-grade TG-fish oil and fermented CoQ10. Both of these are the most bioactive forms of these active agents and will achieve health benefits much more efficiently than any other form.
Unlike the fat-soluble omega-3 fish oil, CoQ10 is also not easily absorbed into the body. CardioHealth is created using a proprietary technology that enhances the absorption and bioavailability of both ingredients by enabling them to be absorbed simultaneously. This allows the CoQ10 to be absorbed around 300% more compared to simple “fish oil + CoQ10” products1.
What is TG-omega 3 fish oil and how does it compare to most other fish oils in the market?
There are two forms of omega-3 fish oil on the market – ethyl ester form (EE) and triglyceride form (TG). The natural form of omega-3 fish oil is TG, which has the DHA and EPA (the most beneficial functional parts of the omega-3 fish oil to our health) fully attached to its fatty acid chains. It is also the type that our body uses and absorbs most efficiently.
The predominant form on the market, however, is EE omega-3 fatty acids as it is the cheaper and faster way to obtain safe consumable fish oil at an industrial scale. The problem is that in the distillation process to remove harmful contaminants, the DHA and EPA become disconnected from its fatty acid chain. This means that when the fatty acid is absorbed by the body, DHA and EPA (the most important functional parts to our health) are not absorbed. A study also found that EE fish oil decays 33% faster than TG-fish oil, making it significantly less stable.
The process to convert EE to TG is costly, but studies show that the absorption of DHA and EPA in the TG form is 36% and 48% higher respectively, compared to the EE form.2
How much better is CardioHealth compared to taking omega-3 fish oil and CoQ10 individually?
When comparing CardioHealth to individual CoQ10 and omega-3 fish oil product, CardioHealth’s CoQ10 is absorbed 200% higher than consuming CoQ10 in its specially formulated tablet form; while the absorption of omega-3 fatty acids is 40% higher than consuming the common non-TG fish oil brands2.
